| Description: New University of Essex building, which is worth £21 million. The three-storey building, which will be built at the University's Colchester campus, will be known as the University of Essex Business School. It will provide such new facilities as a 200-seater lecture theatre, seminar rooms, common rooms and learning & teaching areas. The building is also using many eco-friendly measures, such as renewable technologies and an energy-efficient design, which is set to become one of the 'greenest' buildings in the region. In particular, it will feature a 'green' sedum roof, as well as photovoltaic solar panels and will be built from sustainable sourced materials. |
