Richard is a founding member of Matrix Cad Ltd. Richard has over 25 years experience in the construction industry with the last 20 years being within the structural steelwork sector. During his career he has held a variety of technical and managerial posts within large civil engineering organizations responsible for multi-million pound construction projects. He has successfully managed two drawing offices over the last 14 years with responsibilities for up to 30 staff at any one time.

Mr. Dave Newell - Technical Director – dave.newell@matrixcad.co.uk

Dave is a founding member of Matrix Cad Ltd. Dave has over 18 years experience in the structural steelwork industry which has involved both technical and site knowledge. During his career he has held a variety of technical positions as well as levels of management involved with holding the role of Chief Draughtsman. He has successfully worked within two drawing offices advancing them with his knowledge and experience. Dave graduated from Trent University, Nottingham with an HND in civil engineering.

Mr. Darren Holden - Technical Director – darren.holden@matrixcad.co.uk

Darren is a founding member of Matrix CAD Ltd. Darren has over 21 years experience in the construction industry with 17 years being within the structural steelwork sector. During his career he has held a variety of technical positions as well as levels of management involved with holding the role of lead GA Draughtsman for the last 10 years within two large steelwork specialist organisations. He has successfully worked within four drawing offices advancing them with his quality, knowledge and experience, and has also completed a H.N.C. in Civil Engineering.

Commenced employment at Matrix Cad in June 2010 after a short spell working at Acecad Software. Working career started with apprenticeship at Conder Structures in 1975 with over 35 years, industry experience including a self employed/ subcontract period. Associated with founder members over the last seven  years and now bringing a spread of skills including cladding knowledge, and adding StruCad to the Tekla based environment.

Dean began working at Matrix Cad Ltd in June 2011, having just completed his degree in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure at The University of Derby. Dean’s career began at Conder Structures Ltd in early 2007, and from there he went to work at Procad Detailing Ltd where he cemented his skills in StruCad. Now at Matrix Cad Ltd, he is expanding his range of skills and is successfully working in a Tekla based environment.

Commenced employment at Matrix Cad in January 2013. Phil brings over 41 years of experience in the structual steelwork and cladding industries, as well as a portfolio of running large projects at the design stage.

Mr. Garry Catlin – Draughtsman – garry.catlin@matrixcad.co.uk

Commenced employment at Matrix Cad in March 2013. Garry has over 35 years of experience in the structural steelwork and lightweight structural framing industries and his vast knowledge has resulted in him being involved in many large scale projects around the world.
